An elderly person: “I joined the Pray for our Teens Group last year. I had been praying the Rosary….

elderly pray for our teens

I had been praying the Rosary once a week with a small group in a Residential Care Home and one of the group has been assigned a teenager to pray for daily. I am unable to pray with the rest of the group in the Care Home at present due to other commitments. However, I do pray for the young person for whom we have been asked to pray, as I can do this at any time of the day and wherever I happen to be.
As each one in the Group is praying for his or her own teenager there is a strong sense of being part of the body of the praying Church.
By the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Pray for our Teens is an initiative which makes no demands on anyone; it is one of the ways for the infirm, housebound, dying, with the grace of God, to love our young people.

Young and old will rejoice.
I will comfort them and turn their mourning into joy,
their sorrow into gladness.
